Shamir Virgo brought a soulful, unhurried energy to Sounds of the City with “I Don’t Know” — the kind of performance that trusts the song enough not to oversell it. It worked. The room felt it.
This is part of why the series keeps coming back to the same handful of Vancouver venues — the setting is intimate enough that an artist like Shamir can hold a crowd with control instead of volume, and it translates on camera just as well as it did live.
If you missed it in person, the full set is above — and if you’re tracking upcoming Sounds of the City dates, tickets for the next one are usually up on Eventbrite before we post the recap.
