Why this one hits home
Heated Rivalry has become one of Canada’s biggest TV obsessions, a queer love story set in the world of professional hockey. Seeing a story like that on a big screen, with a full room of fans, is a different kind of experience than watching alone on your couch.
For Vancouver’s LGBTQ+ communities and their allies, screenings like these double as meetups: a reason to gather, swap favourite scenes and take up space in a movie theatre. Expect fans to make a night of it.
