Main Street’s Michelin Mile just got a new Korean anchor.
After the 2026 Michelin Guide Vancouver ceremony, Jeju joined the guide, making it the latest addition to the stretch of Main Street in Mount Pleasant that’s home to a cluster of Michelin-starred, Bib Gourmand and recommended spots.
Who’s behind it
Jeju is owned by Sungeun “Sung” Kim and Yunyoung “Dylan” Kim. It built its reputation in Tofino, where it was long considered one of the town’s best restaurants, before relocating to Vancouver.
What it’s known for
- Refined Korean dishes, including a signature 35-day-aged galbi
- Sakura pork belly
- A cocktail program inspired by the four seasons
Why it matters
The Michelin Mile has grown fast. Last year added Bib Gourmand Good Thief, Sumibiyaki Arashi and Elem, and Jeju’s arrival shows how much of the neighbourhood’s momentum comes from immigrant-founded, chef-driven restaurants. For a business that moved cities and rebuilt its following, the recognition is a big moment.
If you’re planning a Main Street food crawl, add Jeju to the list, and reserve ahead because recognition like this tends to fill tables quickly.
