Mark your calendar: Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week is back November 18–21, and it’s four nights of the city’s most vital runway culture.
Organizers have announced that more than 30 accomplished Indigenous designers will be showcased across the week, alongside art, drumming, dance, song, pop-up shops and cultural showcases. That mix is the whole point. This isn’t just clothes on a catwalk. It’s fashion presented the way it lives in community: stitched into story, ceremony and craft.
Why this one matters
Vancouver sits on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. An Indigenous-led fashion week here isn’t a side event. It’s a reminder of whose land we’re on and whose design traditions have been here the longest.
For designers, platforms like this create something hard to find elsewhere: a room full of people who came specifically to see Indigenous work, buy it and talk about it. For the rest of us, it’s a chance to show up, listen and spend our money with the artists directly.
What to expect
- Dates: November 18–21, 2026
- Runway shows featuring 30+ Indigenous designers

How to show up well
Buy from the pop-ups instead of just snapping photos. Ask designers about their work and listen to the answers. Share the event with your people. Indigenous-made fashion thrives when the city actually turns out for it.
