Funny and Gay Comedy Festival Debuts in Vancouver Nov. 10–15 With Queer Stand-Up, Drag Brunch and More

Vancouver’s first Funny and Gay Comedy Festival runs Nov. 10–15 with queer stand-up, QueerProv, a drag brunch and a comedy workshop. Here’s the guide.

Vancouver’s queer comedy scene is getting its own festival.

The inaugural Funny and Gay Comedy Festival runs November 10 to 15, 2026, founded by local comedians Andrea Feltrin and Aron MacDonald. It pulls together queer comedy shows that already exist around the city, adds new collaborations and special events, and gives them one week on the calendar.

What’s on

  • Existing queer comedy shows including That’s Gay!, Boy-ish, Comedy in the Afternoon, Camp! Comedy!, Punch Up! Comedy, QueerProv, Open Michelle and See Lai Comedy
  • A drag brunch
  • A stand-up comedy workshop
  • New collaborations and special events

How to get tickets

Ticket prices vary by show. The full schedule and tickets are at funnyandgay.ca. Venues vary too, so check each listing before you go.

Why it matters

A festival is a different kind of visibility than a single show. It tells newcomers to the scene where to start, gives local performers a shared audience, and makes the case that queer comedy belongs on the city’s main stage, not just in the margins. And with the lineup built from local shows, it’s a chance to support Vancouver talent directly.
